War - Use your sports cards instead of a regular deck of cards to play this classic card game.
- Divide your cards evenly in two or more piles, depending on the number of players (Yes, you can play with more than two)
- Use the card numbers on the back of the cards to determine the winner
- Two get more "Wars", I would suggest using just the 100's column. Examples: 215 beats 175, 525 beat 375, 325 vs 382 = WAR
Dice Baseball - Who needs Xbox? Use your cards and a little imagination to play a baseball game.
- Pick players at each position from your cards.
- The team in the field lays their cards out at each position around the "Diamond"
- The team at bat sets their lineup. Players (Cards) come up to bat.
- Roll the dice to determine whether you get a hit or out.
- You can use one or two dice, depending on how complicated you want to make it.
Dice 1: 1 = Single, 2 = Double, 3 = Ground Out, 4 = Flyout, 5 = Strikeout, 6 = Home Run!
Dice 2:2 Dice: 2 = Triple, 3 = Double Play or Ground Out, 4 = Walk, 5 = Flyout, 6 = Double, 7 = Single, 8 = Strikeout, 9 = Stolen Base, 10 = Home Run, 11 = Sacrifice or Bunt Single, 12 = Hit By Pitch
Flipping - A fun variation on WAR played with two or more people
- Hold a card in your hand while standing.
- At the same time, both people drop their card to the floor, trying to get the card to spin or flip.
- If both cards land face up or face down, it's a tie. The cards remain on the floor. Both players flip again.
- If one person's card lands face up and the other lands face down, then the person who's card landed face up wins the cards on the floor.
Guess Who I Am - A great way to learn more about the players and teams
- Select a card from your stack. Do not show the other players who it is.
- Using the information on the back of the card, give selected information to the other players. Example: This Boston Redsox outfielder hit .321 in 2007.
- The other players try to guess who the player is after each you give each clue
- You get up to 5 clues to guess the player. If you guess correctly after the first clue, you get 5 points. If you guess correctly after the 2nd clue, 4 points...and so on down to 1 point for a correct guess after 5 clues.
- There is no penalty for guessing wrong.
- The first player to __ points wins (You pick the number).
